Born 1961 in Schwaebisch Hall, Germany. Lives and works in Berlin.
Since 2009 Art director of the contemporary music festival Klangwerkstatt Berlin - Festival fuer Neue Musik.
2003 Rome Prize. One-year scholarship residency at the German Academy Villa Massimo Rome.
1997 – 2002 Founding member and art director of the interdisciplinary artist group WEISS Kunstbewegung. Manager of various transmedia group projects (series of concerts, theatre, exhibitions).
1990 – 1994 Composition studies with Helmut Lachenman at the Stuttgart Conservatory, Composition seminar with Boguslaw Schaeffer, Isang Yun and with Gottfried Michael Koenig. Intensive analysis of the work and the aesthetics of John Cage.
1982–1990 Studied at Staedtische Akademie fuer Tonkunst Darmstadt (Guitar with Wilfried Senger, Composition with Toni Voelker. Guitar teacher both at the music school in Crailsheim, Germany, and private.
Numerous performances and radio broadcasts at home and abroad, cross-media projects, theater work, performances.
